A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
So by following the 70-80 leveling guide - solo questing the entire way without doing any instances - it apparently takes less then a day and a 1/2 to reach 80. (Would have saved a few more hours if I was on a PVE realm - also for those wondering I had about 6-7 hours of sleep since launch) Time to catch up on sleep - but afterwards I'll correct some typos on the guides as well as post up a tips and tricks article on how to level efficiently and finish up the Naxxramas guide. Hope you're all enjoying Northrend!

Update: It appears that the downloader doesn't work anymore - grats to all those that have it installed already. For those that weren't sure about the link the fact that it was hosted on http://www.worldofwarcraft.com should have been proof enough. That and 2 hours later this link appeared on both the front page of mmo-champion and worldofraids - if that didn't convince you nothing will =)

The Eye of the Storm

Wait I'm Talking About the Actual Term Eye of...Nevermind...
With just a few days before the release of the Wrath of the Lich King this will be my final post pre-release - so I will go over as much as I can:

For those new to this site: Welcome! WTBBlue.com is a fansite dedicated to the World of Warcraft - especially with coverage on the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. There is a wealth of information here - from a complete 70-80 Alliance & Horde leveling guide to the complete 5-man Northrend instance guides to guides covering the new 10-man raid instances. There are other useful guides here as well - such as the WOTLK FAQ section and the profession guides.

For those of you that have been keeping up with the site - the Naxxramas guide will be half way done by the WOTLK release - and hopefully the entire guide will be completed by month's end. Also if you'd like to contribute to the site check out my forum post here to see how you can help out! (pssst the easiest way is to spread the word about this site)

One last thing to note - thank you all for the help in correcting errors and bugs all around the site - for those that left comments correcting errors and bugs on specific pages I will be deleting these comments when the error is corrected such as typos or wrong links and such. (I will not be deleting any other comments or any posts in the Bugs and Errors forums) It's becoming a problem when one person posts an error - I fix it - and then another user comes by and comments that there is no error since they didn't know it was corrected earlier.

Thanks again for all the support and I hope you enjoy the site! Also the site is being moved to a new server on the 11th so it'll run much quicker on the 12th with the new wave of traffic.

Some Quick Updates

All of the zones have been posted now for both the Alliance and the Horde. Over the final days before release I'll be posting more information on the Naxxaramas Guide, The Obsidian Sancutm Guide as well as touching up various parts of the site/guides. I'm not sure I'll be able to complete every 375-450 of each profession until after the release of WOTLK but we'll see.

I won't be able to complete The Eye of Eternity guide until post release - theres still a few things I wanted to confirm before I post it and since you can't access the boss until you've pretty much completed Naxxaramas I'm going to focus on completing the Naxxaramas guide first. However I must say that having completed every boss in TBC that Malygos is by far the BEST raid encounter I've ever tried. Heres an old video of one of our failed attempts (due to the enrage timer) for those curious on how it looks:

WOTLK Complete 70-80 Leveling Guide is....Completed!

The complete 70-80 questing guide is finished! Every zone up to the beginning of Icecrown for both the Alliance and Horde is covered - although I will only have the first 3 zones (Howling Fjord, Borean Tundra, and Dragonblight) posted online until we are closer to the Wrath of the Lich King release - at which point I will post all of the zones. Also before the release of WOTLK the Naxxramas guide should be almost completed along with The Obsidian Sanctum and Eye of Eternity 10 man raid dungeon guides. Of course don't forget that the strategy guide for every 5-man dungeon in WOTLK is already completed.

Last but not least every profession 375-450 (or almost every, depends on how much time I have) will be completed by November 13th, and there will be a lot of changes to the current layout for easier navigation as well as constant updates to all the guides to make them more user friendly and easy to follow.

Sorry if the site is a little slow - I'm going to be moving the site to a dedicated server once WOTLK is released so it will be much faster. Hope you guys like the new layout and buttons - I'll be tweaking it over the next few days.

Blizzcon - Where Freaky Costumes make You Popular with the Ladies!!!

Just got back from Blizzcon - and the good news is that I have most of the panels recorded with the handcam shaking effects included for free! - the bad news is that my camcorder ran out of batteries at the end of the Starcraft II gameplay panel and I didn't get to record the introduction to Starcraft II - and heres the major bad news - the video for the World of Warcraft Class panel crapped out on me and I was only able to salvage the first 10 min of the 30 min panel.

It'll take a few hours tonight to edit the videos and then they will be uploaded tonight or tomorrow morning - I won't have time to put them on the New Blizzcon Tab until after Blizzcon ends tomorrow so if you just can't wait to see footage of Blizzcon check my YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/wtbblue for any videos I'm currently uploading!

All WOTLK 5 Man Instances are DONE! Coming Soon?!?!

All of the 5-man instances are now done along with new stick figure graphics on the selection page! Check it out here. In other news something BIG will be released in the following weeks as you can see from the lame graphic above this post - and no its not Blizzcon related. So for those 10-15 people that acutally visit this site prepare for a special surpirse along with a new layout in the coming weeks before the release of WOTLK.

Alliance Dragonblight Completed

In-game Cut Scene to the Most Epic Quest Chain in the World of Warcraft

The Alliance Dragonblight quest guide is completed! There have also been a ton of updates to the site - including a lot of new instance guides, the begining of a Naxxramas 10 man guide, an Alchemy 375-450 beta guide, and lots of small changes to the site layout. (Better looking stick figures since I got a graphic tablet...before it'd take 15 min just to draw a deformed stick figure with a mouse...)

Over the next month the site will be updated everyday with more WOTLK information and guides as we get closer and closer to the release date with the priorty now on finishing the 5 man instance guides, the 10 man Naxxramas guide, and as many more zone questing guides as I can fit in before launch. Also since I'm going to Blizzcon theres a good chance I'll be able to upload videos of most of the events that will take place during the 2 days of the convention so stay tuned!

A Heart to Heart Chat with the Lich King

The Horde Dragonblight zone guide is complete! Some other updates to the site includes an Inscription 1-375 guide and the Drak'tharon Keep instance guide.

With the announcement of the release date of WOTLK I'll be focusing on finishing Dragonblight for the Alliance side as well as Naxxramas and as many of the low level 5-man dungeons as possible. Once professions are closer to being finalized I'll complete the 375-450 guides for them as well.
