Defensive Stance (Level 10)

At level 10 all Warriors are able to visit their class trainer and pick up their first class quest chain. This is a short quest chain that will reward you with Vanguard, Taunt, and .

As a Warrior you need this spell while leveling, it is instrumental. With 10% damage reduction while in this stance, it becomes handy in high damage situations. You also generate more threat, so you can help your friends by tanking elite rares, hard to defeat quest mobs and potentially dungeons. There are also powerful abilities that can only be used while in this stance such as Shield Wall or .

Horde Quests for Defensive Stance

As an Orc, Troll or Tauren Warrior you will pick up the quest Veteran Uzzek from your class trainer in Razor Hill for Orcs/Trolls and Bloodhoof Village for Tauren.

You will activate the stone trigger near the mausoleum just north of Dillinger and Ulag will appear.

Brutal Armor and Fire Hardened Armor (Level 20-30)

The next tier of Warrior class quests begins at level 20, though it”s recommended to wait until at least 28-30.

These quests are fun and pack that juicy Warrior class flavor! Although they aren”t a requirement of endgame like the Vanguard or quest chains, these armor quests offer some mighty leveling gear such as the Brutal Hauberk/Fire Hardened Hauberk.

With an on use to generate 30 rage and some excellent stats to boot. I can”t tell you how many times this on use has saved me in desperate times to get off a free Intimidating Shout and run away from a pack of aggressive mobs or even an enemy player.

It also has its use for all those min/maxing folks at max level where you can use the effect to generate 30 rage just before a boss pull and switch back to your regular level 60 chest armor.

Brutal Armor Part 1 Horde
First of all, if you”re looking to speed-level straight to level, 60 then maybe you will be better off skipping some of these quests as they can be counterproductive to that goal. iYou will be going all over Azeroth to zones that may not even have quests in them for you. However, if you are the type to enjoy an adventure and to see some places you may otherwise not get to journey to while leveling these quests are perfect for you!

Secondly let”s have a look at the rewards before our long journey begins:

Brutal HauberkBrutal HelmBrutal GauntletsBrutal Legguards

To get started we will need to speak to our Warrior trainer Sorek in Orgrimmar. He will give us the quest Speak with Ruga that directs us to Ruga Ragetotem at Camp Taurajo in The Barrens.

Ruga will give a follow up quest Trial at the Field of Giants to loot 5 Twitching Antenna. The Silithid mobs that drop these are just south of Camp Taurajo in the Field of giants.

Silithid location
Silithid
Once you have the items, head back to Ruga and hand the quest in. He will give you a follow-up quest to talk to Thun”grim Firegaze. You will have to make your way up to a massive hill with no clear path. You can start your way up from where I”ve shown in this picture. This is slightly east of the road the exits the crossroads northward:

Once at the top you will find Thun”grim and hand the quest in. This will unlock a follow-up quest which is quite long and involves the dungeon Razorfen Kraul (also known as RFK) as well as many other ventures.

The quest is Brutal Armor and you will need to bring him a list of items to complete it. These are:

Smoky Iron Ingotx15Powdered Azuritex10Iron Barx10Vial of Phlogistonx1

To start we are going to keep in mind that we need to do RFK. Dungeons are not always running as the LFG tool is different, so if you see a group forming or want to try to make a group as you do the other quests, it could save some time spent potentially standing around looking. You can set your Hearthstone at Camp Taurajo and hearth back then run south to RFK once the group is ready. Tipsout has a well-presented guide to Razorfen Kraul including the optional boss Roogug which has to be killed in order to receive Vial of Phlogiston for our quest.

Also if you are a miner be on the lookout for any Iron Ore as you travel through Stonetalon Mountains and Hillbrad Foothills. We will need these later to make 10xIron Bar.

Now that we have that in mind. We can go to Stonetalon mountains and start to gather our Smoky Iron Ingot. From Sunrock Retreat, walk south-east and then northward into Windshear Crag. East of the path in you will find a cave sprawling with Kobold. There are six different types of Kobold in this cave, and they all have an equal chance to drop Smoky Iron Ingot. Don”t forget to be mining any Iron Ore you see!

Windshear Kobold location
Windshear Mine
Once we have gathered our Ingots the next step will be to get 10xPowdered Azurite from Hillsbrad Miner in Hillsbrad Foothills. These mobs will spawn in a mine at the southwest of Hillsbrad. This mine should also have a few Iron Ore nodes in it.

Hillsbrad miner location
Azurelode Mine
Once finished with looting the Powdered Azurite there are possibly two options left. If you still haven”t done RFK and looted Vial of Phlogiston from Roogug you will need to find or make a group for this. This can be done while you mine your remaining Iron Ore and Smelt Iron them into Iron Bar.

Now with all of your materials required for the quest head back to Thun”grim Firegaze and hand in the quest Brutal Armor. Completing this quest will unlock four follow up quests to speak to various craftsmen around Azeroth, and if you thought the adventure was coming to an end, you are in for a surprise.

Brutal Armor Part 2 Horde
The next part will reward you and then set you off on potentially an even larger journey than the first part of this quest chain. Talk to Thun”grim Firegaze and complete the quest Brutal Hauberk this has no requirements and is simply talk to then complete quest. It will reward you with Brutal Hauberk which is the most sought after item from this series.

Thun”grim Firegaze will also offer three other quests including:
Ula”elek and the Brutal GauntletsOrm Stonehoof and the Brutal HelmVelora Nitely and the Brutal Legguards

These can be done in any order, but generally, I would start by running to Sen”Jin Village to talk to Ula”elek as soon as I have picked up the quests from Thun”grim Firegaze.

Ula”Elek location
Ula”Elek
Talk to him and hand in Ula”elek and the Brutal Gauntlets. He will give you the follow up Satyr Hooves which we will hold onto for now. Use your Hearthstone or if you don”t have it run to Ratchet or Orgrimmar and fly to Thunder Bluff.

You will be heading to the main rise of Thunder Bluff where the blacksmiths are located to speak with Orm Stonehoof.

Orm Stonehoof location
Orm Stonehoof
He will give you the follow-up quest Chimaeric Horn. To kill Chimaera Matriarch. Fly to Sun Rock Retreat in Stonetalon Mountains and make your way into The Charred Vale. You will find Chimaera Matriarch at the south end of The Vale. You must kill it and loot Galvanized Horn.

Chimaera Matriarch location
Chimaera Matriarch
Go back to Sunrock Retreat and fly up to Splintertree Post in Ashenvale. You will be killing Satyrs for their Uncloven Satyr Hoof. These Satyrs have two spawn locations located at:

Satyr locations
Satyr SpawnSatyr Spawn 2
All of the Satyrs have a chance to drop Uncloven Satyr Hoof, and you will need 7 of them to complete the quest. Once you have all 7 of the hoofs, head back to Splintertree Post then fly to Thunderbluff. Talk to Orm Stonehoof, hand in Chimaeric Horn then speak to him again to complete Brutal Helm and receive your Brutal Helm. Next, make your way back to Sen”Jin village and speak to Ula”elek to complete Satyr Hooves. Speak with him once more to finish Brutal Gauntlets and receive your Brutal Gauntlets.

Now for the last piece of equipment, we will have to make our way to Undercity. Fly on the zeppelin from the front of Orgrimmar and head towards the Military Quarter of Undercity. There you will find Velora Nitely. Hand in your quest Velora Nitely and the Brutal Legguards and accept the follow up Dragonmaw Shinbones. Before you leave I would advise setting your Hearthstone to Undercity.

Velora Nitely location
Velora Nitely
She will send you to kill Dragonmaw clan members and loot their Dragonmaw Shinbone. This quest can be a little bit frustrating as you will have to test each Shinbone to see if it is sturdy and it has a chance to create Broken Dragonmaw Shinbone which is completely useless. Though if you are lucky, it shouldn”t take to long to test and gather the 8 Sturdy Dragonmaw Shinbone. Fly to Hillsbrad Foothills or Arathi Highlands if you have the flight path. Then run into The Wetlands and head to the south of the zone. Be careful–this is an Alliance zone, and you may encounter some unwanted attention.

Dragonmaw clan location
Dragonmaw Clan
Hopefully, it doesn”t take too long to get your Sturdy Dragonmaw Shinbone. Try to be patient; sometimes these can break many times in a row but also can successfully test sturdy several times in a row. Now Hearthstone to Undercity or run up to Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands and fly back there.

Head back to Velora Nitely, hand in your quest Dragonmaw Shinbones. Talk to her again to complete Brutal Legguards and receive your Brutal Legguards.

With that complete, this wraps up the crazy cross-continental adventure that only us Warriors are lucky enough to enjoy in WoW wtbblue.com. If you made it this far, I tip my hat to you.

This is such a massive test for not even being halfway through your leveling journey. You will go far as a Warrior in wtbblue.com; one of the critical factors to playing this class is to have patience and determination. Often Warriors have to work a lot harder than other classes to achieve certain things in wtbblue.com but if the effort is put in you will soar higher than most classes can.

Fire Hardened Armor Part 1 Alliance
First of all, if you”re looking to speed-level straight to level 60 then maybe you will be better off skipping some of these quests as they can be counterproductive to your goals.

Secondly let”s have a look at the rewards before our long journey begins:

Fire Hardened HauberkFire Hardened CoifFire Hardened GauntletsFire Hardened Leggings

To get started on our journey you need to first speak to Yorus Barleybrew located in Redridge mountains in Lakeshire.

Yorus Barleybrew”s location
Yorus Barleybrew
He will give you the quest The Rethban Gauntlet which is to enter the Rathban Caverns just north of Lakeshire. You must enter, reach the first fork in the cave and not die. There is also a very generous time limit of 1 hour on this quest. Once you return to Yorus, he will have a follow-up quest The Shieldsmith. This quest will take you to Stormwind to the Dwarven District to meet with the blacksmith Furen Longbeard. Take the flight path from Lakeshire and make your way to Furen.

Furen Longbeard”s location

Completing the quest will reward you with Furen”s Favor and open up the quest Fire Hardened Mail. This quest will require you to bring a list of materials to Furen which includes:

Scorched Spider Fangx50Charred Hornx12Galvanized Hornx1Vial of Phlogistonx1

Before you venture anywhere, it will be useful to keep in mind that one of the quest items comes from the dungeon Razorfen Kraul and looking out for a group that is forming for this while questing would be a good idea as the dungeon finder tool works differently in wtbblue.com. Tipsout has a well-presented guide on RFK here https://wtbblue.com/guides/razorfen-kraul-wtbblue.com-dungeon-strategy including the optional boss Roogug which has to be killed in order to receive Vial of Phlogiston for our quest.

To start, you are going to make our way to Wetlands to gather Scorched Spider Fang from Leech Stalker you will find these in a cave known as Thelgen Rock. Catch the boat to Menethil Harbour or take the flight path and make your way east.

Leech Stalker location

Once you have gathered 50xScorched Spider Fang make your way back to Menethil Harbor and catch the boat to Teldrassil. Then fly to Stonetalon Peak in Stonetalon Mountains. Make your way south in the zone down to The Charred Vale. Here you will find Fledgling Chimaera and Young Chimaera for Charred Horn. You will also find the Chimaera Matriarch for Galvanized Horn.

Chimaera locations
Young ChimaeraFledgling ChimaeraChimaera Matriarch
Once you have gathered 12xCharred Horn and 1xGalvanized Horn you may leave the zone. Though if you haven”t done RFK for Vial of Phlogiston it may be a good idea to stay in Kalimdor until you do so.

If you have all the required items, head back to Furen Longbeard in Stormwind. Completing Fire Hardened Mail will open up four more quests including Furen”s Armor which can be instantly completed just by speaking to Furen and will reward you with Fire Hardened Hauberk which is generally the most sought after item from this quest chain.

Fire Hardened Armor Part 2 Alliance
The next 3 quests don”t have rewards as powerful as Fire Hardened Hauberk but are still fun, give experience and some green mail items with good stats for their level. These quests include:

Grimand ElmoreMathielKlockmort Spannerspan

Assuming you are in Stormwind. You can simply walk north of Furen to Grimand Elmore to hand in Grimand Elmore. He will give you the quest Burning Blood requiring you to go to Duskwood and kill Worgens for 20xBurning Blood. You will also have to kill a slightly stronger Worgen Gutspill for 1xBurning Rock. He is in a cave just southeast of the other Worgen mobs you will be killing.

Worgens/Gutspill location

Once these items are collected you can head back to Grimand Elmore and hand in Burning Blood. He will give you a follow up quest to simply talk to him Grimand”s Armor which rewards you with Fire Hardened Coif.

From here you can catch the tram to Ironforge and find Klockmort Spannerspan. He is located in Tinkertown.

He will give you the quest Iron Coral. This requires you to bring back 20xSearing Coral. These can be looted from Iron Coral in the water south of Menethil Harbour.

Fly to Menethil and loot 20 of these. Once you have done this, take the boat to Teldrassil. Go up to Darnassus and find Mathiel. Hand in Mathiel and pick up Sunscorched Shells. While you are here you should set your Hearthstone to one of the Inns.

Mathiel
This quest will send you to Thousand Needles to loot Sunscorched Shell which are found in Sunscorched Shell. You will need 20 of these. Make your way to Thousand Needles you will find these eggs here:

Sunscorched Egg location

Once you have looted 20xSunscorched Shell use your Hearthstone back to Darnassus (or flight path there) and talk to Mathiel once more to finish Sunscorched Shells. You can then make your way back to Ironforge via boat to Menethil and then flight path to Ironforge. Talk to Klockmort Spannerspan once more and hand in Iron Coral. This will unlock the quest Klockmort”s Creation to simply speak with him and reward you with Fire Hardened Gauntlets.

Berserker Stance and Whirlwind Weapons (Level 30+)

If you aren”t hyped right now, you should be! You are about to embark on possibly the most flavorful, fun and rewarding quests that any class has to offer. This series of quests will reward the warrior with their third and final stance , as well as , AND the Whirlwind Axe !

The axe takes a little more effort to acquire, but we advise you to complete them. This weapon is well worth the extra time spent doing some quests, as it has the highest weapon damage on any slow two-hand axe of this level. As a comparison, Corpsemaker is another powerful weapon in this level range, and it”s a drop from a dungeon boss–that”s right, a blue dungeon item of only one level lower is significantly less powerful than the WW axe.

Without further ado let us get into part one of this quest chain.

Berserker Stance

Before begining Make sure you get a decent two hander or at minimum a Healing Potion from the auction house. You will be fighting a level 33 Big Will, and he attacks very quickly.

To start, as with any class quest we will visit our class trainer. At level 30 we will be able to pick up The Islander from any Warrior trainer in a capital city. This quest will send us to Fray Island which is located in the Barrens southeast of Ratchet. The quest giver Klannoc Macleod is located among a small camp on this island outside a hut.

Klannoc Macleod”s location
Klannoc Macleod
Hand in The Islander and pick up The Affray. This is a gauntlet style quest that involves you fighting several challengers one after the other with no breaks to eat. It starts off easier and gets progressively more difficult until you face the final challenger Big Will.

Strategy vs Big Will
It isn”t the most difficult fight in WoW, but it will prove a challenge if you are unprepared. Equip your two-hand weapon now if you already haven”t and have your Healing Potion at the ready. You may not need to use this, but it is good insurance. Activate early with your two-hand weapon and the fight should be no problem. If for some reason all of this doesn”t work you may need to ask a friend to help or kite the boss in between each of your auto attacks using Hamstring.

After defeating Big Will return to Klannoc Macleod and hand in The Affray. You will be rewarded with and . Congratulations!
But… That isn”t all. He now has a quest The Windwatcher which starts the challenging journey for the extremely strong and sought after whirlwind weapons.

Whirlwind Weapons and Cyclonian

This next part can get really tricky. It requires you to fight several higher level mobs ranging up to level 38 and even a 40 elite Cyclonian. If you are still level 30 and don”t have some higher level players to help you or a reliable healer that can spare some time you may have to wait until at least level 35 to finish these next quests.

If you”re up to the challenge, head over to Hillsbrad Foothills. Go north into Alterac Mountains up the river to the east and speak with Bath”rah the Windwatcher. Hand in The Windwatcher and accept Cyclonian.

Bath”rah the Windwatcher”s location
Bath”rah the Windwatcher
The quest Cyclonian requires several materials, most of which are of no easy feat to get. These Materials include:

Liferootx8Bloodscalp Tuskx30Essence of the Exilex1

To start, you will head to Stranglethorn Vale and be ready to slay a whole bunch of Bloodscalp Trolls. These guys spawn in several locations and have a 35% chance to drop Bloodscalp Tusk.

Bloodscalp Trolls” location
Bloodscalp TrollsBloodscalp TrollsBloodscalp Trolls
Once you have 30xBloodscalp Tusk, you can move on to the next step.

The next item can be bought off the auction house. Liferoot is relatively cheap as it can be picked with 150 herbalism or looted off certain mobs such as Kurzen Medicine Man in northeastern Stranglethorn. I would advise you just buy these or have a herbalist friend to pick you some. Eight to be precise.

You can also buy the materials required to form Essence of the Exile off the auction house. They are usually expensive for a Warrior of this level, especially since you need to be conserving gold for your level 40 mount at this point. The materials involved with forming this item are:

Thundering Charmx8Burning Charmx8Cresting Charmx8

You will approach the cauldron at the camp Bath”rah the Windwatcher resides at and complete the quest Essence of the Exile that it offers. With all the charms in your bags, you will receive a Essence of the Exile on upon completion.

If you are not able to buy these, like most at this level, you will have to farm elemental mobs in Arathi Highlands. As a Warrior, you will learn to hate elemental mobs as they are unaffected by our bleeds and our slows. This makes a hard quest harder. These mobs are levels 38-39 and have a 25% chance to drop their respective Charms.

Thundering Exile spawns in the middle of Arathi highlands just east of Refuge Pointe. They drop Thundering CharmBurning Exile spawns near the entrance to Arathi Highlands coming from Hillsbrad. They drop Burning CharmCresting Exile spawns northwest of Hammerfall. They drop Cresting Charm

Elemental Spawns
Thundering ExileBurning ExileCresting Exile
Upon obtaining the charms you will approach the cauldron at the camp Bath”rah the Windwatcher resides at and complete the quest Essence of the Exile that it offers. With all the charms in your bags you will recieve a Essence of the Exile.

Now that you have all of your summoning materials it is time to speak to Bath”rah the Windwatcher and complete Cyclonian. BE WARNED! Upon picking up the next quest The Summoning. Bath”rah the Windwatcher will start a roleplay scene where he walks a short while and summons the NPC Cyclonian. This is a mighty level 40 elite elemental mob. It has 4,572 health and abilities that knock you back and stun you. Be prepared with a small group of 2-3 players or at least one higher leveled player. He will drop Whirlwind Heart, so remember to loot him!

Choosing your weapon

Once complete you will hand in Cyclonian and unlock the final quest to reward your hard efforts on this journey. Whirlwind Weapon presents you with the option of 3 powerful weapons for this level. All have the same damage per second and stats. Whirlwind Axe, Whirlwind Sword and Whirlwind Warhammer. The key difference to each is the attack speed and the top end damage. Most Warriors leveling want a slower weapon that hits harder each hit so that they can Hamstring kite effectively. The talent is often taken while also leveling which makes the Whirlwind Axe the best candidate to choose.

Whichever weapon you choose though for whatever reasons like, congratulations! You are now the owner of one of the most powerful two hand weapons at this level that only the Warrior class has access to.
