Hey guys, recently ive been really interested in playing meepo, he seems like a versatile and enjoyable hero. so basically, I dont know where to start. Ive been opening Demo hero and been practising my tab actions but one of the main questions i wanted to ask was, How does one quickly tab poof all other meepos to the main meepo before the main meepo blinks without the main meepo poofing as well? how does one do it in quick succession and know that all meepos (excluding the main) are poofing towards the main one? i always have to constantly check, there is always one missing or my main meepo is poofing aswell which stuffs the whole procedure up. What exercises should i do to get the hang of him? what items should i build? who should i watch? Thanks guys, all help is appreciated.

First of all, you need to bind all your meepos to small groups. As Chen player I can you provide example of my binds: F1 main meepo F2 all meepos F3 all without main meepo 1-4 for each secondary meepo accordingly

So basically you need to adjust this binds to yourself.

Next you need to learn basic combo dagger into poofs. All you need to choose third group of meepos (without main) and tab-poof them into place where you want to blink ( do it fast, sometimes it won't done right, but after some practice you'll get it right ) and then blink with main meepo to this place.

Also you need to know how to split and farm/push with meepos, but it's hard to write you just need to watch replays of meepo spammers. I usually use 2/2 meepos to farm jungle and scout with main for kills.

This for beginning, if you want to get advanced techniques then you need to watch some replays of w33.

One thing I noticed watching Sing's stream is he sends out a 1/3 formation to push the waves.

Personally I do 2/2, but is there a reason for Sing doing 1/3, is it more efficient? Doesn't seem like it on paper.

I have a laptop with the 'fn' key so i have to use fn + f1 to use F1,it's not really feasible.

Any other hot keys you would suggest? I have tried 1 2 3 (for hero, others and all) 4 5 6 7(for clones) but it feels really hard to select 5 6 7 during a teamfight.

A few important tips would be to

Quick cast your spell and items (at least dagger and poof) as a left click inbetween each action could delay you up to .7 seconds each spell rotation. My items are D, F, Z, X, C, V with D for dagger and V for tp/BoT.

Set up control groups. Personally, I use 1 for main, 2 for all but main, 3 for all, 4 for 2nd and 4th, 5 for 3rd and 5th. Skill rotation would be 2, w tab cycle, 1 and D for blink with a immediate earthbind.

Practice with cooldowns enabled on demo. I used to always leave my 5th behind because I played meepo before his aghs came out, which messed up my muscle memory.

Understand when you need to go for threads and when you can afford to get BoT first. If you're not really efficient farming with low base starting damage and poofing for farm gets you chased out of lane, a threads and iron talon could get you past the rough patch where meepo is really weak and get you gold in the jungle when you really need it.
