If an application causes an error, change the compatibility of that application. To change the application's compatibility, right-click on the icon of that application and uncheck the Disable desktop composition option in the Compatibility tab.

To restore the system, go back to the control panel and system restore in Recovery and finish by selecting one last Date. Now the system will restart a bit and will work well.
