Plugins are specific to multiplayer servers. If you really wanted to, you could make a server and just have yourself on it to use plugins but that’s a bit complicated for the average computer joe.If you’re interested, you could go into the world of mods which can add new and exciting gameplay to Minecraft’s single player (and multiplayer) content. Just be weary about using mods on wtbblue.com, as some are explicitly not allowed and all are use at your own risk and may get you banned from the server.EDIT: One thing I forgot, I believe 1.14+ has a thing called “data packs” which are world specific and don’t require external downloads except for the data pack itself. You could google search around and learn about that as well.

You can”t put plugins in singleplayer, but you can make a local server to test them in. It”s really simple.1. create a folder on your desktop name anything you want2. go to https://mcversions.net/ and download the server jar for the version you want and put it in your folder3. go to https://getbukkit.org/download/spigot and download the version of spigot you want (dont click create a server!) and put it in your folder4. run the minecraft jar as administrator first, when it generates files go to the one titled “EULA” and set it to accpeted5. run the spigot jar as administrator6. create a new text file called “run.bat” and set its contents to “java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar Spigot-(your version).jar nogui” < the Spigot-(your version) part should be the name of your spigot jar file >7. go to save as for run.bat, change it in the dropdown below filename to all types (or something like that, there should only be 1) set the file name to run.bat if it isnt already, and save it8. execute run.bat and connect to “localhost” in direct connectand you should be all set! there are probably better explained tutorials out there so if you have issues you should look those up
