I was under the impression that pressing the left joystick in would activate sprinting but that still changes the camera angles.

Sometimes you can be pushing the stick to maybe lets say, 10 or 11 o”clock or in between left and up and the sprint won”t activate. It”s a bit trickier on an xbox controller than pressing a key twice on a keyboard but once you”ve got used to it, it”s fairly straightforward.

When your fingers are as old as mine, your thumbs don”t work like they used to.
Well… on that… I have to agree with you. It would be nice, I”m sure, if they”d taken a different approach, and maybe set up a “distance zone” for walking/sprinting, where if you press the stick forward fully, you sprint… but most people jam the stick all the way in the direction they”re going, anyway, so they”d always be sprinting… looks like there”s almost no real solution to it.

I suppose that”s true… though, I did mention that I use an Xbox 360 controller, on the PC, while I”m playing Minecraft… so I”m using the same exact control scheme as everyone else here… I”ve just had much longer to get used to it, I guess.

I”ve found the sprinting easy to use. Makes long jumps so much easier, and parkour will be more fun. Just glad they have added it in, as escaping from Creepers and the Skeletons is also made far easier. Saves taking an arror to th..shut up Beaver, its not funny anymore.

I gotta give credit to 4J they actually made it so hitting objects doesn”t actually interrupt sprinting unlike the PC.
