I am not sure why have they ever been implemented.

No, I do not want to do Zuldazar invasion for the 473890th time already, why is it hard to take no as an aswer?

And I think we all remember that SAILORS quest in Azhuna in Legion, I keep getting that quest whenever I fly above the zone.

All World Quests are on auto accept, this is how they work. I never heard of any utility addon that would remove auto accept them.

Um, no? If that was the case, your quest log would be full all the time.

World quests do not need to be accepted though, you can just complete them.

I am speaking about certain few of auto-accept quests, which get into your quest log even if you do not want to do them.

Well, as i told you, all world quests are on auto accept, but when you leave quest zone it auto removes, they are not even going to quest log, so your point is invalid mate. Maybe we are talking about 2 different things? i don’t know.

Edit: Assault Quest goes into quest log so you are right here and indeed it’s annoying to always having to delete it.

Agree, Blizz questing content is not that great that I want to repeatedly do them on each alt I have. These quests should pop up on your map as an icon and should only prompt you for an accept once you click on them. I find it very annoying when some quests just pops up and you can’t even reject them.

Speaking of the game being an RPG, it’s really sad when you have autoaccept quests. In an RPG, the agency lies with the player, not with the game. I have to go and talk to the NPC and pick up the quest.

I also hate WQs as well. Really, Magni can talk to me at any time and any point, give me quests and rewards for completing them, but he still asks me to waddle to him to turn in story quests and emissaries?

Auto-accept quests and WQs break all immersion in the game. It doesn’t make sense that NPCs can just randomly start talking directly to you from 500km away.

No one was speacking about that, you brough it up, very awkwardly i might add.

That’s the point of Shadowlands, though.

Its a tread about auto-accepting quests ? Do you go in any tread and start “Speaking of RPG…”.

No its not. I have argued about this enought with you (and the rest of the munchkin gang), your definitian of an RpG is not the be all and end all.

All I said is that autoaccept quests and people speaking to you from the other end of the world ruins immersion. Especially when there’s quests in many zones establishing that this is impossible. For example in the Undead starting zones you have a quest to recover an FCD (Forsaken Communications Device) so you can have remote communication with the quest NPC.

So Magni giving you world quests actually breaks established lore. It is immersion-breaking.

Amonet-stormrage October 3, 2020, 3:51pm #12

Agree, but one does not enter a conversation with “Speaking of RPG…” when no one has brought it up yet.

Popgligor-kazzak October 3, 2020, 3:54pm #13

Blizzard has, they stated it in their intention for Shadowlands. They want to bring back the RPG feel to the game. You can’t have it with auto-accept quests. Maybe that’s why you have to go to Oribos to pick up your emissary.

Dude are you stuipid ?

Im pointing out your sentance and way of entering the conversation was weird.

Bill: Boy i sure dont like oranges
Ted: Yeah Bill i dont lke em either
Popgligor: Speaking of RPG…

See what i mean ? Also no sane person cares what Blizzard think, their design phylosophy flip flops with each patch, and contradicts itself in the same patch. Again not going to turn this into something it isnt , if you want to argue create a tread and ill argue you there.

Calm yourself down… dude.
You are only making yourself look bad, a proper dramaqueen. Just stop, it wasn’t that much of a deal really.

I’m good for pop-ups story/side quests. Since if I dont need run back at NPC as give new missions.

But, World Quest as pop-ups yes annyoing a bit.

Khellitha-turalyon October 3, 2020, 4:21pm #17

FCD (Forsaken Communications Device) so you can have remote communication with the quest NPC.

Magni tells you he can communicate with you through the heart of azeroth not long after you collect it.

And yes the assault quests are really annoying… I guess they have to be quests and not wqs because of the follow on… but would be nice to atleast be able to reject it and have it never pop up again!

Speaking of RPG and considering you’re still around, here’s my 2 cents on it:

I do believe the thread is about those annoying AF quests that you cannot refuse, because you’ve been flying right into “invasion” area, so OF COURSE you HAVE to accept these quests that were relevant 2 years ago! Not even updated rewards, 370 stuff. Also these get instantly auto-tracked which is really annoying when you have a list of YOUR OWN objectives and this crap gets superimposed on it. And takes a slot in your q log.

Short solution: Get rid of it. And disappear anyone who talks about bringing this crap anywhere else.

Popgligor-kazzak October 3, 2020, 6:31pm #19

The “mini-wqs” of 8.3 were really nice. They were activities on the map, that you go and do, but you always initiate them manually, they never start on their own and never harass you.

Sooo you are telling me, that there is actually some RPG elements but even the people screaming the laudest about it, dont care about it.
