Đang xem: Something you wear that starts with m
During costume party season, the pressure is on to host a fun, unique party. One idea that can help you come up with a fun party theme is encouraging your guests to choose a costume that starts with a specific letter of the alphabet. Here are some ideas for how you can do that.
Party Theme Ideas Based on Letters of the Alphabet
Allow guests to dress up in a costume related to their initials (or just their first names if you want to narrow down their choices).Ask guests to dress up in costumes related to your initials.Choose one or two letters to inspire their costumes. These could be randomly or deliberately chosen.
When you first send out invitations, it's possible that your guests will be confused about what you're asking them to do. To avoid confusion, you should explain the idea thoroughly since if your guests are confused, they might not dress up. Even worse, they may not attend your party.
This article will give you some ideas for costumes that start with the letter “M,” some based on famous characters or people.
If you have any other ideas, please put them in the comments box so you can help other people too. Have a fantastic party!

Macbeth: The Scottish king Macbeth was a real person, born around 1005, but he is probably more widely known through the play by William Shakespeare, which takes a few liberties with the actual story. A male medieval costume would be suitable for this character.
Mad Hatter: Popular character from Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. The Mad Hatter's signature costume is a tail or frock coat, checked waistcoat, trousers, and a large top hat (with a white 10/6' label tucked inside the band which is wrapped around the hat). Following the recent Tim Burton film, a new version of the Mad Hatter has become popular with wild red hair and spooky white skin.
Madame Pompadour: Mistress of Louis XV of France and fashion icon of the eighteenth century, she introduced a golden era of elegance and luxury clothing to the century. Georgian costumes would be suitable to portray this role.
Madonna as Inspiration for Your Halloween Costume
Madonna: This pop star rose to fame in the 1980s and remains popular today both as a cultural and musical icon. A fashion leader, Madonna's style has evolved through the decades. She started in the '80s with looks that included:
Black or white netted tops and skirtsFootless tightsCrop topsLaced topsCrucifix or beads
In later years she became famous for the conical basques designed by Jean Paul Gautier, which she wore along with fishnet tights before changing to a more elegant style reminiscent of 1940s evening gowns for her song 'Vogue.'
Although she has been less prolific in the 2010s, her more recent incarnations have included the white cowgirl outfit for 'Music', an S&M fencing instructor for 'Die Another Day,' and aerobics-style outfits in videos for her album, Hard Candy.
These were made up of tight leggings with boots and various strappy tops. For all the brave ladies out there, you could try wearing a high-cut leotard! Personally, if I turned up to a party wearing just a leotard, the place would empty before you could say 'Madonna'!!!
Mae West: A rather buxom film star of the 1940s, she was so famous that a life-jacket was named after her! To dress as Miss West, you could be a saloon girl madam or wear 1940s-era evening gowns. Quite the seductress, she is known for her one-liner double-entendres on film.

Magician: A modern magician costume can be made easily with a tailcoat, top hat, bow tie, waistcoat, and white gloves. Accessories like a stuffed white rabbit, playing cards, hankies tied together, and a bunch of plastic flowers can also be fun to have at the ready. To make it a couple costume, pair the magician with an assistant (who can wear a leotard and tights), or a white rabbit.
