Too Many Active Followers Wow, How To Deactivate Champions Legion

When starting a quest, I get told I have “too many active followers” and that I “have to deactivate some”.

Has Blizzard stated why this is a thing? You only get a few followers from the story, and somehow there are too many?

Worse, you have to reactivate them, once per day, for 250g? That's insertion of a gold sink where there really shouldn't be one.

Excuse me for shitting in your cereal, murdering Harambe and “attacking your hype” for not being happy with this mechanic.

dont worry OP, i came across this same thing last night and I thought it was dumb as hell. i have 6 champions, but for some reason, only 5 of them can be active? i dont even care about their mission uses, i would just like to have my champions…be…active… Why should i bench them? its a dumb mechanic

It makes zero sense when we're in the middle of a war for them to just sit on the bench.

This expansion is about getting as many allies and as much power as we can to combat the Legion, but I'm supposed to accept that perfectly capable fighters have to sit there?

I also think it's annoying that only a couple people work as combat allies.

Given its only been a few days, maybe the plan is to allow us to activate more around the time the major patches hit. Then people are limited now to maintain the progression speed they want, since you are interested in min maxing and changing out champions you'll pay a premium to do so. We have no idea what their plans are.

So I'm getting the same message, but I only have two active on one mission? I thought we were allowed to have up to 5? I heard somewhere about it being a bug and I logged out and back in, but still no luck. Two people on a mission is just too much apparently!

So artificial player choice, and a gold sink where there shouldn't be one.

There already aren't many followers, so now if I get a class hall quest I can't counter I have to reactivate?

Awesome. I love being able to only do one or two missions per day, even the low level ones.

“Garrisons 2.0”, more like “Garrisons 1.5: Now with longer missions.”

Worse, you have to reactivate them, once per day, for 250g?

No you don't. You're supposed to leave them inactive.

Good luck completing higher level quests with lethal conditions (automatic failure) if you can't counter them, but your deactivated follower can.

Additionally, I had a good bit more followers in WoD than 6, and I know I had more than 5 active at once.

It makes no sense that people get to bitch about not being able to spec wherever they want without use of an item, but I'm somehow not allowed to bitch that champions in my class hall are forced to sit down and twiddle their thumbs while a war is going.
