Bamboo has been used as a building alternative to timber in the real world, so why not have a few new blocks & items based on bamboo:
Bamboo planks (place 4 bamboo pieces in a 2×2 pattern in the crafting grid to craft).

Bamboo stairs & slabs (crafted like all other stairs & slabs, but using bamboo planks to craft).
Shoji screens (function similar to glass panes, semi-transparent, place four pieces of bamboo around a piece of paper to craft).
Bamboo doors & trapdoors (crafted like all other doors & trapdoors, but using bamboo planks to craft).

Bamboo fences & gates (uses bamboo pieces instead of sticks with bamboo planks to craft).

I love this idea! I’m not sure about the screens, as I can’t personally picture any practical applications for this. I love the idea of bamboo planks and I’m especially fond of trapdoors/doors as I can imagine a jungle-esque styled house. Awesome idea! 🙂
