One of the many different features in Minecraft is villager trading. The game allows you to trade specific things in order to gain something else in return, and it’s a very helpful and neat feature that adds a lot more immersion. Specific types of traders can provide you with specific types of items. To add even more to the realism, these villagers will only be able to provide you with the things that they have available in stock. You can’t just get anything you want when you want, as the villager has to have it in stock first.
If you keep trading too much, their stock eventually runs out and they have to restock before you can start dealing with them again. They usually restock twice every Minecraft day, meaning that it isn’t much of a problem. But there are some instances when they never restock, even after multiple in-game days have passed. This is a common issue for players of Minecraft, and we’ll be discussing it in this article.

The main reason why villagers might not be restocked in your game is that they don’t have workplace blocks that they can use. These blocks are necessary if you wish to get your villagers to restock on their materials. Make sure that you have them placed and assigned to specific villagers so that they can provide you everything you need when you need it. Even if you’ve already made these blocks and set them close to your desired villager, you have to make sure that the block is assigned to them. Otherwise, they won’t use it to work and eventually restock all the necessary materials that they usually would be able to.
You should also ensure that there’s enough space for the villager to work in and that they are fully capable of reaching their workplace block. Another reason why these villagers don’t restock is that they can’t reach their working area or don’t have enough space to work in the first place. Because of this, you have to make sure that it isn’t a problem.

It is also recommended that players keep villagers away from one another. Not only do the villagers have a tendency to gossip which causes your prestige to do down and trade prices to increase, but they also have the tendency to steal each other’s beds and workstations at times. Because of this, you should keep them all in separate areas and ensure that they never get too close to each other as you’ll probably face negative effects otherwise.
Lastly, if you match all the requirements that we’ve given above then all you have to do is sleep through the night. Sleeping is usually enough to reset the cycle and get the villagers to restock if there is ever a bug that might prevent them from doing so. Just try this or anything else that we’ve mentioned and your villagers should start restocking trade materials again.
